Saturday, 1st March, at 11am
Westminster Abbey is a building steeped in history. Every stone and memorial has a story to tell.
Join guide Edward Richards for a tour of the historic coronation church, conducted in British Sign Language. This tour will take in highlights of the Abbey including the Grave of the Unknown Warrior and the Coronation Chair as well as offering the opportunity to discover more about the lives behind some of the Abbey’s many memorials.

Join us to celebrate the launch of a searing, exquisite new novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a story of four women and their loves, longings and desires.

Guests can now enjoy 1000 years of London's darkest history in a new British Sign Language Friendly format on the second Saturday of every month. Come face-to-face with historic characters of the 'bad old days' including Jack the Ripper, Sweeney Todd and Mrs Lovett. Before venturing down to our Victorian tavern pub for some dangerously delicious cocktails.

Saturday Sessions are the perfect place to start the weekend. On a monthly basis you can watch a performance, make something with the artists and play with other children and their families – all for free!
This month, Shelf leads us in a side-splitting comedy workshop, complete with silly characters and the chance to be a part of the joke, followed by our monthly Ballroom Boogie.

Join us this International Women's Day to celebrate 15 years of WOW - Women of the World.
Legendary activist Angela Davis will join WOW Founder Jude Kelly in conversation. From being on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list to becoming one of the most sought-after speakers in the world, Davis will discuss love in activism, hope and healing, along with her love of the blues, and her dreams for the future.

So if you’re new to the capital and feeling a little lost – or just eager to meet people and discover something new, come join us and make the Southbank Centre your home for the evening.
Brought up in two indigenous cultures (Hawaiian and Ryukyuan), Stacy Makishi invites you to encounter rowdy rituals and soothing provocations to end the year. Makishi has been making art and infecting folks with curiosity and creativity for over 40 years.

Taking place from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 March 2025, the festival will be popping up in spaces across Deptford.
Deptford Literature Festival is a literature festival with the local community at its heart. 71 local writers, artists and performers have been programmed to take part this year!
There’s something for everyone: live performances and music, a children’s and young people programme, talks and workshops for aspiring writers and curious readers, walking tours, zine- and book-making, open mic sessions and so much more. Artists taking part include Caleb Azumah Nelson, Emma Warren, Nathan Bryon, Irenosen Okojie and Santanu Bhattacharya, amongst many others.
As ever, access is at the heart of the festival: 45 of the 48 events in our programme are free to attend; all in-person events Friday-Sunday will offer BSL interpretation and all online events will be captioned. Six filmed events will be available to view online for one month after the festival, and Festival At Home activities will enable aspiring writers of all ages take part from wherever they are.

Featuring portraits of writers, poets, and artists who championed personal freedom and social justice.

From the fast chat pioneers of the Saxon Sound System era of the 1980s, to today’s contemporary wordsmiths, experience performances that honour Lewisham’s vibrant culture and celebrate its future.
Curated by Emma Warren, the event will include sets from Lezlee Lyrics, Belinda Zhawi, Cecil B, SignKid, No Hats No Hoods (DJ set) and more; all accompanied by atmospheric and immersive soundscapes from the acclaimed Anja Ngozi. This one-of-a-kind evening bridges generations of creativity, capturing the heart and soul of Lewisham through spoken word and music. Join us for a celebration of music, language, rhythm and community that’s uniquely Lewisham.

Visit the Priory Church and travel beneath the streets of Clerkenwell to explore the Norman crypt, one of the few buildings of its period remaining in London.

A British Sign Language exhibition tour of Vital Signs: another world is possible, led by artist Rubbena Aurangzeb-Tariq.
Vital Signs: Another world is possible brings together artists, designers and researchers to explore these relationships and how the health of the natural world - from our waterways to our atmosphere and the ocean floor - is intimately connected to our own health and wellbeing.
Revealing unique perspectives on our surrounding environments through creative, sensory works and multiple voices, this exhibition reinforces the fact that humans are fundamentally a part of nature rather than apart from it.

Raise the roof with a captivating performance with spoken word artist and rapper George the Poet, and Chineke! Orchestra, the first professional orchestra in Europe to be made up of majority Black and ethnically diverse musicians.

Together with Punch Records, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra brings together some of the best artists making music in Birmingham.
The line-up includes Big Dog Yogo, Brixx, C4, CreezOn, Jaykae, Lady Leshurr, Mayhem NODB, Pressure0121, RoxXxan, Saf One, Sox, T.Roadz, Trappy and Trilla, with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and conductor Phil Meadows.

Explore the history and collection of the Foundling Museum with Alan Murray MBE on this British Sign Language tour. The tour will cover the main collection of the Museum, but the ticket also includes entry to our temporary exhibitions.
